What's included
Museum visits are a joyful and educational experience that broadens one’s knowledge and comprehension of the world. Museums are a fascinating and instructive method to learn about history, art, culture, science, and many other topics. They are also vital in the preservation and protection of precious objects, artwork, and historical records for future generations.
Furthermore, via their collections and displays, they may encourage creativity and imagination, enabling visitors to think outside of their regular viewpoints. Museums are frequently used as community hubs, bringing people together to learn and explore. Finally, they provide a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be duplicated elsewhere, with an opportunity to see and engage with items that are generally inaccessible to the general public.
On our Fes Museums Tour, we tried to make this a valuable and enriching experience for you. We’ll take to five different museums in the city of Fes. We’ll start with Dar Batha Museum (currently under construction). This museum exhibits traditional Moroccan arts and crafts such as pottery, textiles, and woodwork. Then, we’ll head to the Bou Inania Madrasa Museum, a stunning 14th-century Islamic school with elaborate tilework and decorations.
Next, we’ll visit the Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts and Crafts which is housed in a beautifully renovated caravanserai and exhibits traditional Moroccan woodworking equipment and skills. Later comes the Belghazi Museum. This one is dedicated to the history of Moroccan Jewish life and culture. Finally, we’ll stop by the Dar El-Najat Museum, which showcases Moroccan wedding rituals and collections of traditional Fassi clothes and jewelry.
